My dog ripped out a toenail what can I do for her?
when I let her in this morning her foot was bleeding a little and I noticed a toenail is missing. what should I do for her and what should I be concerned about?My dog ripped out a toenail what can I do for her?

The vet may need to cut the nail back further into the quick to speed healing and to help make sure the nail will grow back normally. Some vets prefer to anesthetize the dog for the procedure, other more ';old school'; vets will cut it while the dog is awake. My dogdid fine after 2 or 3 days, but because of all the funk and germs they walk in, keep it clean and check it.
Just call your vet and see if they want to see her. For now just clean the paw off and if it is still bleeding then apply some pressure and get it to stop.
